The Second Level (Daniel Helenius) is a young DJ / producer from Helsinki, Finland. His music style could be best described as a mix of Melbourne bounce, energetic future house with a modern pop twist. After winning a mixtape competition in 2013, organized by a local club in Helsinki, he was discovered by Weekend Festival’s head promoter Hardi Loog. Hardi decided to give The Second Level a chance to test his talent as a support act at David Guetta’s outdoor show in Estonia 2014 summer. He proved immediately that he can take the pressure and make a great performance on a big outdoor stage as easily as he can entertain a crowd in a more intimate club environment.
At Weekend Festival 2015 The Second Level played a closing finale for 30.000 poeple after Avicii had left the stage and was also credited in the festivals after movie. In 2016 The Second Level played several festival and club shows including a record breaking stint of 4 shows in 36 hours during Weekend Festival Finland and Weekend Festival Estonia. He also released his first single ‘Monday feat. Lola Loog’, which was accompanied by an energetic music video featuring shots of his performances at Weekend Festival and club shows both in Finland and Estonia.
In addition to great live shows The Second Level put his focus in studio work and recorded several tracks that he is aiming to release in 2017. The first single Sun Comes Up features Estonian pop singer Ariadne and was produced in collaboration with the Finnish dance music legend JS16 who also co-wrote Darude’s legendary Sandstorm track. ‘Sun Comes Up’ was quickly picked up by the biggest Estonian radios and has been on listed on Top100 tracks in Finland and Estonia on Spotify.
The Second Level is definitely one of the most potential upcoming DJ/producers in Finland and he is already well recognized in Finnish and Estonian dance music scene. In 2017 he is looking forward to play live shows in new territories and collaborating with new artists and producers.
KIRO is one of the most interesting upcoming DJ/producers from Finland. Also known as a platinum-selling pop producer in Finland, Kiro releases melodic house music as an artist himself. KIRO’s style could be described to draw influence from Galantis, Don Diablo, and Sigala. His first original tracks are ready to be released in 2017 and he has a number of great remixes under his belt.
KIRO has already performed for a big crowd at his home town Jyväskylä where he took the stage in front of 7000 people at one of the biggest student events at the local exhibition hall. More memorable performances are on their way as KIRO prepares himself for festival, clubs and various shows in Finland and abroad. His show is energetic and well excecuted combining visuals and fresh music in the mix.
